Rules Template Dialog

Used to:

Select a template to be used to create a new suppression rule for a clash detection job.
Select a template to be used to create rules to link elements and tasks for a schedule simulation operation.

You can access this dialog from the following:

Setting	Description
Rule Set	Drop-down menu allows you to select from either a list of default rules or from a list of generic rules. The selected rules display in the Select a rule template to use when creating the new rule list box.
Select a rule template to use when creating the new rule list box	Displays the list of the rule templates to be used to create a new rule. Once you select a rule, its description displays in the bottom section of the dialog. If performing a clash detection operation, once you click Create, the rule displays on the Rules tab of the Clash Detection dialog.
Rule Description	Displays a description of the rule selected in the list box.
Create	Adds the selected rule to the Rules list box on the Clash Detection dialog Rules tab or Task Linking Rules dialog, where it is available for editing.
